Don't Wait for Storms to Damage Your Trees
You can take preventive measures to protect your home and property from falling trees.
Storms can uproot your trees and shrubs which can damage your home. You can take steps to prevent this from happening:
* Several times a year, check your trees and shrubs for cracks, dead wood and rotted areas.
* Look for fungus or mold growing at the base of the trunk.
* Remove branches that hang over power lines. Your local power utility will usually clear these at no charge to you.
* If you suspect you have dead or diseased trees or shrubs, consult a qualifed arborist. They may need to be removed.
